Cleanflow Technologies Pty. Ltd. is a private company registered in Western Australia, which has developed the OTTERTM, a "state of the art" drain cleaning, waste removal, water recycling and inspection vehicle.
Aim & intent The primary purpose of Cleanflow Technologies is the R&D and commercialisation of technologies for the cleaning, inspection and preventative maintenance of sewerage pipes and storm water drains with consideration to environmental factors.
The first priority of the company is to sell the revolutionary OTTERTM into the Australian and New Zealand markets, followed by sales into USA, Canada, the UK and Europe.
Company Philosophy
We are committed to providing service to the water and sewage management industry, which focuses on the engineering of innovative, efficient, environmentally superior solutions to industry challenges.
Market research shows there is no existing equipment in the international sewer management marketplace that offers the versatility and cost-efficiency of the OTTERTM system.
Cleanflow plans to add to its range of cleaning, inspection and maintenance tools over time.
Design Philosophy
The OTTER™ has been specifically designed for cleaning, waste removal and inspection of 100mm to 600mm diameter sewer pipes and drains. OTTER™ recycles precious water. All water used is filtered and reused.
It is a revolutionary technology for the removal of blockages caused by grease, tree roots etc., and for the preventative maintenance of sewer pipes and drains.
Our overall design process systematically examines the key triple-bottom-line business elements of:
- safety;
- environmental impacts;
- operational and maintenance cost efficiency

Team effort: CEO Graham Dawson, Technical Director, Nick Fielder and Project Manager, Greg Eller have previously worked together to develop a ‘unique’ two-tonne ROV vehicle for the removal of extremely hard marine fouling from Woodside’s offshore petroleum North Rankin ‘A’ platform.
The ROV was taken from conceptual design to commissioning in eight months and is still in service 17 years later.
MARKETING The OTTER vehicle offers more efficient, cost-effective and environmentaly friendly methods of cleaning, and recording the condition of choked drains in public sewer systems.
Initially, the OTTERTM is being sold into the Australian and New Zealand markets. Distribution outlets are being developed in the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT The OTTERTM comes with a special CD, which contains technical and maintenance information. Refer to our Technical Support and Maintenence link above.
